hi drake
i just listened to the episode where you asked what brought people to wicca and witchcraft so here it goes
me and my mom dont always get along and for a long time i have been a victim to child abuse and because of this i was going through a depresion im normally a bubbly person but i have never been so low
ive heard about the craft while i was growing up but it never really seemed like the right time and place but i guess it was my time.
My dad supports me in being a witch and allows me to practice my craft at his house my mom is still against it but my dad is on my side and things are getting better
the craft was there when i needed it and it helped me be the person i am
i have been a witch for over a year now

blessed be smile

Hey Drake!
I have to say, I love your podcast! Its one of my favorites!
I have a question. I know how much you love herbs and plants so I thought you would be just the person to ask! I want to start a magical garden next spring and I was wondering if there were any specific plants you would recomend every witch having? I live in Texas but I still think it would be interesting to know what plants in general, regardless of climate.
Thanks so much!

Greetings drake! I am fairly new to the path and a closet pagan, and i love your show. I think if people put their personal/religious bias aside and learn from other people, satanist/gays anyone. The world would be a better and more understanding place.
Good wishes~Blessed be

Merry Meet Drake,
I just wanted to drop by and share my thoughts on the Satanism episode you did. I have to say that I agree with Brook on this one. The Pagan umbrella, for lack of a better term, does hold many different beliefs. If Satanism had to fall in any general category, I feel it would be Paganism.
With my Christian past, even as a pagan now, I would cringe at any word involving Satan. But as the Gods would have it, I had to overcome that thought process in order to better see what can be learned in this life. Over the past month or so, I have found that I have been surrounded by conversations involving Satanism and more specifically, the book The Satanic Bible. I have to be the first to admit that once I pushed back all the negative connotations I had on the subject, I am very impressed. I plan to purchase the book myself and have an episode on this subject because there is much more there than what I feel many people give it credit for. Though I realize it may not be for everyone, people can learn a great deal from it by keeping an open mind and interpreting it in their own acceptable way.
Keep up the fantastic work and I am looking forward to your next episode.

Blessed Be,
MeadowMoon

LOVE LOVE LOVE what you've done with the latest podcast. The changes make the podcast feel more "polished".

The laws of magic segment was probably my favorite of the whole show!

Merry Meet
Thank-you sooo much for an easy to understand Podcast! Ive tried many others, but yours is very understandable! It is also very helpful that you relate your topics to real event from your path. I am still very curious of why i started... I randomly typed religions into google and selected this one. At first i found it funny, and i apologise, as i laughed and mocked Wiccans, thinking it was strange. But slowly i grew more and more fond of this religion. One piece i remember reading was about Spiritual names, i thought 'That would be cool, but what would i call myself' But never really looked into it. That night i dreamed about sitting on a cliff (theres one near my house) overlooking the town below when all of a sudden this woman appeared and addressed me as Radorr White. I didnt understand at the time, but she told me to carry on, carry on until the end. When i woke up i had no idea what she meant, but there sat next to me on my desk was the sheet of possible names. Im still unsure, but was that The Goddess in my dream? Was she giving me my Spiritual name? Ive tried, but no other names seem to fit me, but Radorr does... It was really wierd, and i cannot forget her face. A face of love, yet strong and powerful. I wouldnt call myself Wiccan as i have never taken part in a ritual or celebrated a Sabbat. I have studied Wicca for about 3 months, should i start being more practical now? I do feel very confident and know how to perform them, i just never have... Should i call myself Wiccan now?
Thank-you for a wonderful show!
Blessed Be

Lady Cassie Saul says...
Normally I love your show, but during your last episode about Satanism I was really dissapointed. I couldn't believe that you would discuss something on your show that holds no intrest in the pagan world. I will still contune to listen to your show just please no more dark topics such as this. Your fan Lady Cassie Saul

I have to disagree Lady Cassie. Satanism is a form of Paganism. I thought the show was very informative. smile

Hey! I think your podcast is great and i loved your episode on Satanism. Although i am not a satanist i do find it interesting and also think it has alot of unnessarcy bad press, something i think it has in common with Paganism. But thats just my opinion. Anyway keep up the good work and i look forward to every podcast =]

PS, Lady Cassie Saul is wrong. It should hold great interest in the Pagan community. And it sounds like she is really holding on to old "tenets" about what Satanism is. If she would have actually listened to it, she might have learned some of her assumptions are probably wrong.
